Facade painting in Hamburg – protection and colour for render and ETICS

Paint is the last layer – and the one you see. DALGA BAU coats rendered facades, ETICS and plinths in Hamburg: from substrate check to weather-resistant final coat.

Scope of work

  • Facade painting on new render and ETICS
  • Renovation coatings on existing facades
  • Plinth coatings in the splash zone
  • Assessing cracks by cause and repairing them properly, making good defects
  • Interior painting on plastered and skimmed surfaces

Which paint for which substrate?

  • Silicate paint – mineral and highly breathable, ideal on lime and lime-cement render and in older buildings
  • Silicone resin paint – water-repellent and dirt-resistant, proven on ETICS and exposed facades
  • Dispersion paint – versatile, mainly for interiors; properties depend on the product

On insulated facades we recommend paint systems matched to the ETICS – on request with protection against algae and fungi.

Process

  1. Check the substrate – load-bearing capacity, chalking, moisture, old coatings
  2. Prepare – clean, assess and repair cracks, make good defects
  3. Prime to suit the substrate
  4. Intermediate and final coat in a matched system
  5. Handover with you on site

Render and paint from one source

Because we apply the render ourselves, we know the substrate precisely: render and paint are technically compatible, there is no interface between two trades and you have one contact. In new builds, painting follows directly after exterior render or ETICS.

Frequently asked questions

When can a new rendered facade be painted?

Mineral renders need a curing period before coating – often several weeks. The render and paint manufacturers’ data is decisive; we schedule the work accordingly.

In what weather is painting done?

In dry weather, usually from +5 °C air and substrate temperature (some silicate paints from +8 °C), with no rain, frost or strong sun until dry.
